Intern – Global Rare Diseases Europe & Int'l Market Access & HEOR
About the role
Under the guidance of the Pricing manager, the Intern will work cross-functionally within the Rare Disease Market Access & HEOR department, as well as with other teams (i.e., Regions and subsidiaries, Global Marketing, Global Pricing etc), to support the development and execution of global value and access strategies. The intern will mainly participate in the development and improvement of pricing process for RARE products to support the strategic decisions of global and local teams.
Main Tasks
The Intern will support his/her Manager / Tutor - and more generally GRD Europe & Int'l Market Access & HEOR team with the following activities:
- Support GRD EU & Int’l Market Access & HEOR Team in the development and execution of value and access strategies for pipeline and in-market assets for global rare diseases
- Support the GRD EU & Int’l Market Access & HEOR Team on pricing analysis and monitor pricing approval process
- Collaborate with the GRD Pricing manager and the Global Pricing team during the periodical price review and price assumptions collection exercises
- Support the team on project management of cross-portfolio initiatives
- Improvement of the price management platform and processes related to the management and analysis of pricing events
- Assessment of business development opportunities with particular focus on the estimation of the pricing and market access potential
- Facilitate interaction with local affiliates through active participation into affiliate meetings and refinement of cross-country monitoring tools
- In all activities, the Market Access & HEOR Europe & Int’l Intern will ensure full compliance with all internal and external regulations, particularly during interactions with any external stakeholder, championing Chiesi’s Values and Behaviours
Education: Master University Degree in Economics, Health Economics, Business Administration or Scientific disciplines (CTF, Biology, Biotechnology, pharmacy) with an economic post-graduate training.
Technical capabilities:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical market.
- Good understanding of drug development process.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare systems, market access and pricing & reimbursement principles in major European markets.
- Basic Knowledge of the International Referencing System.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Excel in particular).
Soft skills & relationship traits:
- Intrapreneurial mindset
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attitude towards learning
- Critical thinking and ability to connect and understand unrelated information
- Cross-functional, cross-cultural communication and teamwork skills
Languages:
Excellent in written and spoken business English – Level C1 at least.
Experience abroad would be considered as a plus
Contract and Benefit:
6 months internship
